JieKeLong's brass bibcocks are designed for direct manual flow control and reliable shut-off at water outlet points. Key applications include outdoor taps (gardens, yards), utility sinks, public washroom basins, industrial cleaning stations, and areas requiring frost protection. They play an essential role in providing accessible water access points and facilitating freeze resistance in exposed locations within water supply systems.
Brass bibcocks enable simple on/off flow control via manual lever or tap handle operation.
They provide positive shut-off when fully closed, preventing water leakage at outlet points.
Minimal flow restriction in fully open position due to straight-through flow path design.
Robust screw-down spindle mechanism ensures durable operation with low maintenance needs.
Connect the bibcock’s male threaded inlet to water supply lines. Use tapered pipe threads (BSPT/NPT) and seal with PTFE tape or pipe joint compound. Ensure wall-mounting surface is flat and stable.
Position the outlet spout downward for drainage access. Secure the bibcock body firmly using the backnut, aligning the handle for ergonomic operation. Never wrench the spout – apply torque only to the body or mounting nut.
Control thread engagement depth. Over-tightening may crush the compression washer or distort the spindle, causing leaks or impaired shut-off. Test for drips under pressure after installation.
Rotating the handle clockwise drives the screw-down spindle vertically, compressing a replaceable rubber washer against the valve seat to restrict or seal the flow.
Counter-clockwise rotation retracts the spindle upward, lifting the washer away from the seat and allowing water to flow freely through the vertical outlet path.
