Applications of Air Vent Valves

JieKeLong's air vent valves are designed for automatic gas evacuation and system protection in pressurized fluid networks. Key applications include hydronic heating systems, potable water pipelines, solar thermal installations, industrial cooling circuits, and fire sprinkler risers. They play an essential role in ensuring continuous air removal to prevent flow obstruction, corrosion acceleration, and efficiency loss across closed-loop and open-vented systems.

By JKL
  • Advantages of Air Vent Valves 1

Air vent valves enable automatic air release via precision floats, eliminating trapped pockets without manual input.

  • Advantages of Air Vent Valves 2

They boost flow efficiency by expelling air that causes cavitation and pressure issues in fluid systems.

  • Advantages of Air Vent Valves 3

Built-in mechanisms prevent vacuum damage, protecting pipes from collapse or corrosion.

  • Advantages of Air Vent Valves 4

Durable brass/steel construction with nitrile seals ensures 10+ year reliability across water, glycol, and industrial fluids.

Installation of Air Vent Valves

  • 1

Ensure pipe connection points are threaded cleanly with no burrs. Wipe sealing surfaces with a dry cloth to remove dust. Check valve float movement for smoothness and verify O-ring condition.

  • 2

Screw valve onto pipe hand-tight initially, then tighten 1-2 more turns with a wrench. Align vertically to ensure float operation; avoid over-tightening to prevent thread damage.

  • 3

Leave 10cm clearance above valve for maintenance. Post-installation, run system briefly to purge initial air. Confirm steady air release and check for leaks at the connection.

Working Principle of Air Vent Valves

  • When air accumulates, the float drops due to buoyancy loss, opening the valve seat.

  • Trapped air escapes through the vent until water refills the chamber, lifting the float to seal the seat.

  • System pressure aids closure by pressing the float tightly against the sealing interface, preventing water leakage while maintaining air release capability.
